Sean Syman

I am a carver working primarily with deer antler, wood and bone. I find the process of carving meditative, using hand tools to feel the form of a piece as it develops.

I enjoy working in the style of Japanese netsuke, making small pieces that are a pleasure to be held, and which inspire people to connect with their sense of childlike joy and wonder.
