Purpose

Welcome to the privacy policy for South Coast Arts Trail (SCAT), part of the South Coast Business and Promotions Association. This has been written so that you know when we collect personal information and what we do with it. SCAT will only use your personal information as set out in this policy.

We may need to update this policy from time to time. If this happens, we’ll let you know on this site with an explanation, and note the date at the bottom of the policy.

The information we collect

You may disclose personal information to SCAT when you subscribe to our mailing list, or register to participate in our Arts Trail.

People who will be able to see it

The website administrator will be able to see the information you provide. Anyone who may assist with the site over time may also be able to see it but won’t be permitted to share it or use it for their own purposes.If the personal information you provide forms part of material that you have submitted to be published, members of the public may also see it.

Who holds the information

SCAT will hold the information. SCAT is hosted by Wix and we use MailChimp to manage our mailing list so those services will also hold the information, on our behalf.

How we use the information

SCAT will only use your personal information to communicate with you, publish material you have given permission to be published and for any other purpose that is made clear to you at the point of collection. In addition to news of site updates, we may send occasional emails to you in relation to other matters relevant to SCAT or its audience. You’ll be able to unsubscribe from our email list at any time.SCAT won’t disclose your personal information to third parties unless we are permitted by law to do so.

How long the information will be held

SCAT will hold the information for as long as we’re southcoastartstrail.co.nz or any related site. When we no longer require it for such purposes, we’ll delete it. You can still unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time and we’ll delete your personal information if you ask us to.

Other information and cookies

SCAT may collect statistical information about visits to the site to help us understand its usage (this information is anonymous). SCAT and related tools may use cookies for this and other purposes.
