Edith Diggle

Edith has participated successfully in many exhibitions in the past, where she specialised in landscapes that captured the atmosphere and essence of a place, evoking a sense of calmness, giving a place from which to stand, observe, absorb, feel recharged and inspired. This resulted in many commissions. After downsizing to Wellington she now creates smaller paintings, often of native birds, using watercolour on parchment, lightly embossed on the reverse side with wax crayon, blended with lavender oil. Edith will be demonstrating this unique approach at the Presbyterian hall during the exhibition.

Edith is a life member of Titirangi Painters of Auckland and a member of the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts.
