Gavin Griffith-Jones

Gavin has been an Island Bay local since 2006. He spends a lot of time in the water, on the water, and under the water, and is also fascinated by flight and skies. These perspectives on the south coast inspire him to paint – the wildlife, people, storms, ever-changing skies and seas - moments that will never be repeated.

Gavin works in acrylic on canvas and board. He began painting in 2020 during lockdown, something he had been thinking about for a long time. You can see his work online, or at his home in Brighton St during the South Coast Arts trail.
