Miriam is a Wellingtonian, artist and mother. She is a lover of our built heritage and the way buildings anchor us in a place. She is also a trap-clearing, tree-planting, bird-watching, nature-loving member of the Southern Environmental Association. She is ANCHORED HERE.

Miriam has been drawing homes and buildings for 10 years. She loves to capture the lives lived in places, through the inclusion of small, meaningful details. She works with fine ink pens, sometimes using an Indian ink wash. In this South Coast Collection she has enjoyed re-creating her pen style using the free-embroidery function on her sewing machine.

The South Coast of Wellington feels special to Miriam. All the quirky and interesting homes which nestle into the hills and stand strong in the face of a southerly storm, remind her of her own decision ... to be ANCHORED HERE.
