Noon Kasemsan

Noon has been painting for 16 years and is self-taught, with the help of evening classes and community art schools in Christchurch, Auckland, Nelson, and Wellington. Her work is driven by colour, mood, and the play of light and shadow in the everyday. A patch of sunlight on a wall, the curve of a shadow at dusk—these are the things that catch her eye and stir something deeper. She paints what she sees, but more than that, she paints what she feels in that moment. Each piece is a reflection of mood as much as form. Perhaps when you look at her work, you will feel something too.
