Jeannette Troon

Jeannette has utilised her creative skills in mental health services, as a designer of children’s spaces, as a relationship manager in the education system and most recently, through her exploration of painting with oils.

She enjoys the challenge of capturing people and the occasional pet, alongside the lush coastal and bush clad landscapes of Te Whanganui-a-Tara. She’s inspired by the evocative work of many classical impressionists and contemporary realists.
Jeannette passionately believes that creativity is the foundation of our wellbeing as individuals and as a community, and was part of the team that established the Island Bay School Art Auction in 2005. She continues to learn from communities at Inverlochy Art School, the Wellington School of Drawing and the Evans Bay Art Group.
