Joe is a veteran community arts events maker and artist. On his return to Te Whanganui-a-Tara in the early 80's his first foray was a fireworks show on the harbour. Subsequently, with new friends and new momentum the event evolved into The Wellington Sun Festival - a large-scale community event held in Oriental Bay on December 17th, 1983.
For the Arts Trail Joe will present a slideshow and talk covering preproduction through to the finale of the festival. (Approx 1hr duration). After the show Joe will be presenting an idea for a new Wellington Festival, and your feedback will be welcome. There will be some prints and drawings for sale.

Saturday 13 September 10am and 4pm
Sunday 14 September, 10am and 4pm
